The Subcision Procedure

The doctor makes a few tiny punctures in the area to be treated and places the fine Surgiwire surgical wire under the skin beneath the wrinkle or scar. The wire is removed and the wrinkle or scar is released. Sometimes an injectable dermal filler is used to provide further improvement to the area.

After the Subcision Procedure

There will be some swelling and bruising of the treated area which usually resolves in a week or so. Results are immediate although it may take several weeks to see your final result. The result lasts up to 16 months.
