The treatment is called BLU-U® Blue Light Treatment. Many people (both teens and adults) have had dramatic results in the reduction of their acne and brown spots with this treatment. This treatment can be used as an alternative to acne medication.

Blu-U Light Therapy with LEVULAN®
Levulan is a topical solution used for treating rough scaly patches (actinic keratosis) caused by excessive sun exposure, pre-cancerous lesions, and acne.
LEVULAN® is an aminolevulinic acid HCI topical solution that is applied to the area which needs to be treated. It is allowed to incubate for approximately 60 minutes. The area is then exposed to a light source, either IPL™ or BLU-U® light to activate the solution.
There will be some "down time" with a LEVULAN® treatment. Patients must avoid any bright light for 24 hours. Sunscreen and protective clothing is a must immediately following treatment.
