Use Tinted Sunscreen for a Summer Glow
One of the most important things you can do to reduce the signs of aging is to faithfully use sunscreen, all year round. This summer, instead of using a heavy liquid foundation, try using a tinted sunscreen instead. Sunscreen Trivia
Does it matter how much sunscreen you apply?
YES. Use at least one teaspoon for your face. We get only about one-third of the protection that the SPF indicates. You should use the highest SPF possible and reapply it every two hours. If you are perspiring or swimming, re-apply more often.
Are tanning beds safer than the sun?
NO. Tanning beds are just as dangerous, if not more dangerous, than the sun. A 20-minute session is equal to several hours in the sun. No tan is a safe tan!
Does getting a "base tan" protect my skin from a sunburn later?
NO. That's a myth. Any tan is a sign of damage to the skin. The protection of a base tan is minimal - SPF4.
Can I continue to use old sunscreen?
NO. All sunscreens expire. Check the date. If no date is evident, discard any sunscreen after three years.

Girls' Night Out Breast Cancer Survivor Makeover #2
Teri Sinise is the second of our four breast cancer survivor makeover women. Teri, who is a health educator, has received many services to help her combat the results of her battle with breast cancer and the normal challenges of aging.
Like many of us, Teri has had uneven skin tone and ruddiness. We have treated that with Laser Genesis. She has had Palomar Fractional Resurfacing to her lower face to improve the lines and wrinkles around the mouth. Teri had some visible facial veins as well, which we treated with the CoolGlide Laser.
