Plastic surgery for men can include the male facelift (rhytidectomy) which is a procedure performed at our Indianapolis practice to reverse the effects of age, gravity, exposure to the sun, and daily stress. This is accomplished by removing excess fat, tightening facial muscles, and readjusting the facial skin.
Facelifts that are done on males may be done in combination with other facial procedures such as a forehead lift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, or neck lift. A male facelift is a highly individualized procedure that Dr. Turkle will tailor to your unique bone structure, skin texture, and underlying muscle tone. Additionally, the distribution of the hair on your head and face will need to be evaluated in order to use the technique to best fit your needs.
Facelift surgery does not improve skin texture, although it can be done in conjunction with procedures that do improve texture, such as laser or chemical skin peels. The procedure results in a stronger, more masculine and youthful appearance. Estimated price for male face lift:

The Male Facelift Procedure
Male facelift surgery at our Indianapolis practice usually takes several hours to complete. Generally, incisions are made, the doctor repositions and tightens the facial muscles and then pulls the skin back. Excess skin and fat will also be removed during the surgery.
After Male Face Lift Surgery
Following the surgery, dressings are applied to decrease bruising and swelling. Pain medication is available for those who desire it. Vigorous activity should be avoided for at least two weeks following a facelift. Facial features can remain somewhat swollen for several weeks after plastic surgery and will gradually return to normal.
